A real find!
Great off the beaten path rustic motel
Great off the beaten path rustic motel. Only 12 rooms. Jeff and DIane are great inn keepers who are very friendly and even make this feel like a home away from home. The front yard is big enough to hit golf balls if you want. One of us left our ipad and they learned enough from us to know where we were going and had it delivered after we checked out. Bathrooms are new and renovated. Rooms are clean and simple. Very quiet.
Already looking forward to my (our) next visit.
I had read glowing reviews and feel that the Inn was even better than I anticipated. Beautiful location and surroundings. It seems much thought went in to what a traveler needs…even a little placard with simple instruction on how to work what would have been a very confusing remote control (television)

A Magical Place!
Me and my fiancé drove up from Ct and stayed at the inn for 3 days before we went camping right next door at Emerald Lake. We were welcomed by the precious 2 dogs and the inn taker Jeff he was very nice and working on the property showed us our room and recommended great places to eat. He had a smile and was very friendly. I could not get over the breathtaking views of the mountains and how country it was. The place was just so beautiful and peaceful. When we stepped in the room it was very clean and had 2 bottles of water with some chocolates, the beds were cozy, nice fridge, cable tv, air conditioned and a place to sit right outside the rooms. The shower was awesome very nice bathroom and very clean. Just very pleased how cozy it felt I just felt so at home there I love the grounds and how well it was kept many places to relax and sit and they had a huge fire pit which was at the bottom. We met the owners of the inn who were very nice and know how to run a magical place. They stopped to chat with us and were very welcoming. We have been recommending this place to all our friends for next year if they did not want to camp at Emerald Lake. Personally me and fiancé will be back next year and stay at the inn longer instead of camping. I just really love this place it was like a hidden gem and can’t wait to return for a longer stay. This will be our getaway anytime we stay in East Dorset nothing like it. Thanks for taking good care of us.

Perfect find!!!
We can’t recommend this place enough. It was clean, quiet, and charming. The beds were comfortable, and the room had everything you could possibly need. The location was beautiful – relaxing and great views. The staff was friendly and helpful. They really made us feel welcome. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.
Wonderful place tucked back in the woods
I echo every other good review. The place is very nice and many updates have been made. The bathroom had been recently remodeled and everything was very clean. The people that run the end were super friendly. We felt very welcome and wish we could’ve stayed longer. Would definitely go back when in the area.
Excellent!
I needed a place to stay the weekend for a spartan race and I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place. Gorgeous grounds with beautiful views. Quite and cozy rooms. Everything in my room was spotless and updated. Beds were very comfortable. Super friendly staff. Wifi, fridge and TV all worked great. The local handmade soaps and complimentary chocolates were a nice touch. A truly great find for an affordable price. I will definitely be staying here again!
Beautiful Grounds and Great Hospitality

Clean rooms with great views, nice people, and friendly dogs
” Clean rooms with great views, nice people, and friendly dogs. There is a lot to like about this hidden gem in southern Vermont. The Inn is located on a beautiful mountainside property close by to a great blueberry farm. The managers make everyone feel like family. Will definitely be visiting again!”
Gorgeous view, cleans, very nice staff. Simply priceless!
This is the best little place I’ve ever stayed at. The views are spectacular!!! The rooms are clean, well equipped with comfortable beds. The manager and his wife were beyond nice. All the guests were incredibly friendly. Great breakfast area and deck out back to drink coffee, talk, mingle. I will ALWAYS stay there when in that area. Congratulations Aerie on giving my sister and me a fantastic weekend!
I want to stay here longer next time
PERFECT
What a beautiful little place! I needed to find a hotel to stay in for a race and I am so so beyond thrilled I found this one! So peaceful, beautiful property and so Vermont! Beautiful setting and so welcoming. I got room nr 11 (my lucky number) and I won the race!
I will be back!! My lucky place!!!
Wonderful!
Easily the best place I’ve ever stayed. Beautiful location, very clean and well-kept and lots of thoughtful extras. The owners are super nice and go above and beyond to make sure that their guests have a great experience. Loved the breakfast, s’mores around the bonfire and the little details like the handmade soap and well-stocked kitchen. Will absolutely be back!
Hidden gem with lots of charm
This place is truly a hidden gem with lots of charm!
We loved this place! The staff was super friendly! The owner was amazing and made us feel like she cared! The property is a hidden gem tucked away from the main road with lots of charm! A huge field of grass(great for walking your dogs!) We we’re visiting in the fall and the view from the hotel with the mountains and foliage where absolutely stunning! The rooms were super nice and comfy too! They even have their own handmade soap that smells amazing. This place had a very homey feel to it. I wish we would’ve stayed longer!

Beautiful setting
Stayed for one night while heading up to Burlington, VT. Plenty of parking spaces. Room was very clean and beds comfortable. Owner gave good recommendations about places to eat and visit in Manchester.
Very peaceful location
Very peaceful location and wonderful owners who were very accommodating
If you want peace, quiet, and great views of the Vermont landscape, this is the place for you. Up the road from East Dorset, and not far of a drive from Manchester. The owners were very nice and welcoming. Very comfortable rooms. This place is off the beaten path a bit, so don’t expect restaurants/bars/shopping within walking distance; you’ll have to drive to those things.

Great motel biker friendly!
Jeff and Diane are the greatest Inn Keeper’s They knew that we wanted to have a fire and had it all set up and waiting for us including all the fixing for s’mores, what a great touch! Clean rooms reasonably priced and a decent breakfast in the morning. We have been coming here annually for 10 years now and will continue for the foreseeable future
